A Bank Humiliated This Woman By Not Cashing Her Check Because They Didn’t Believe She Is An Architect

Trish Doolin found herself in disbelieve when an employee at her local KeyBank in Kirkland, Washington, totally humiliated her by not believing she was an architect and refused to cash her check.

After deposing her check and went about her day she got a very strange call from the bank, in fact, she was summoned to the manager`s office and accused of forging. Doolin was taken to a cubicle until the manager phoned human resources to verify if she`s telling the truth. When her company didn’t pick up the phone, the man told her that he had to keep her check for at least 9 days and verify if she`s really working there.

In a recent interview from BuzzFeed we found out that Doolin just moved to Seattle few weeks before this happened and she was using the branch because the design firm she started working for didn`t have the chance yet to set up her direct deposit.

Eventually, the funds got released and KeyBank has issued an official statement, explaining that it`s typical to place a hold on deposit accounts for 30 days, especially if the account is new:

I`m sure than Doolin is far from happy with this statement and plans on changing the bank ASAP.
